Annotated Dragon Dice Game Log

Martin Becker and I are playing Dragon Dice via EMAIL using the new DDASSIST Game Simulator Here is the actual log for the first two rounds, with annotations.

Game Setup

First we imported the armies. This was actually a matter of a few mouse clicks, as the armies were pre-designed DDASSIST Army Files. The Simulator automatically put the home armies at our homes, set the home terrains, then put the campaign armies at the frontier, the hordes in reserves, and the summoning pools in the summoning pool.

Martin rolled 20 points of blue frostwing magic, and used them for a Wind Wall, a blue dragonkin, and three lightning strikes. My Phoenix saved, but the other two units were killed. Since I have to pick which units die, Martin saves the game file to disk and transmits it to me via EMAIL. Note that this is the first time Martin needed my input. He was able to execute almost a full turn without needing to mail for an update.

The first thing I do is record the Wind Wall spell using the spell- casting dialog. Martin couldn't do this because he had an old version of DDASSIST with bug in it.
